Golden Goals Eligibility Criteria
- Age Requirement: Must be 65 years or older.
- Artistic Focus: The goal must be related to the arts, including but not limited to visual art, performing arts (theater, dance), writing (fiction, poetry, memoir), music (composition, performance), etc.
Goal Requirements
- Finished Product: The goal must result in a tangible, completed artistic work, such as, but not limited to:
- A song or album
- An art exhibition or show
- A staged play or performance
- A published book or manuscript
- A film or video project
Exclusions
- Educational Classes: Goals should not be for classes or workshops on artistic topics; they must involve the creation of a finished product.
- Non-Artistic Goals: Goals that do not focus on artistic endeavors (e.g., fitness goals, personal development unrelated to the arts) will not be considered.
- Financial Assistance: No direct financial support for bills, rent, or other expenses will be granted as part of the goal.
- Equipment Purchase: Goals for the purchase of art materials, instruments, or technology will not be fulfilled.
- Collaborative Projects: Goals that require extensive collaboration with multiple individuals or organizations may be limited, focusing instead on individual artistic expression.
- Non-Tangible Outcomes: Goals that do not result in a physical or completed artistic product (e.g., ideas, concepts) will not be accepted.
- Continuous or Recurring Projects: Goals for ongoing projects or performances without a defined end will not be considered.
- Surprise Goals: Goals where the recipient is unaware of the project or outcome will generally not be granted.
Additional Considerations
- Impact and Purpose: Preference will be given to goals that demonstrate a clear personal significance or contribute to the community, fostering connections through the arts.
- Feasibility: The proposed artistic goal must be achievable within a reasonable timeframe and budget, ensuring that resources can be effectively allocated.
- Capability for Participation: Applicants must be able to actively engage in pursuing their goal from the outset.
